1. Purpose
LitReview AI helps researchers synthesize literature from PDFs they upload. This policy defines permitted and prohibited uses. It supplements our Terms of Service.
2. Permitted use
- Organizing and synthesizing papers you have legal access to
- Drafting literature review sections you will edit, verify, and attribute properly
- Exporting work for further revision in Word or your thesis workflow
- Using AI outputs as a starting point with human review and source verification
3. Prohibited use
You may not use the Service to:
- Submit AI-generated work as your own without disclosure where your institution requires it
- Circumvent academic integrity, plagiarism, or examination rules
- Operate an essay mill, homework-for-hire, or similar commercial cheating service
- Upload content you do not have the right to use (pirated PDFs, confidential data without permission)
- Generate false citations, fabricated references, or content not grounded in your uploaded sources
- Harass, abuse, or attempt to disrupt the Service or other users
- Violate any applicable law or third-party terms
4. AI outputs
AI can make mistakes. You must verify every citation and claim against original PDFs using our verification tools before submission. LitReview AI is not responsible for academic penalties resulting from misuse.
5. Enforcement
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy. Report abuse to support@literaturereview.ai.
