1. Overview
LitReview AI ("we", "us") operates https://www.literaturereview.ai. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and your choices. Contact: support@literaturereview.ai.
2. Data we collect
- Account data — email, name, and profile image from Google sign-in (via Supabase Auth).
- Billing data — subscription status, plan type, and Creem customer IDs stored in our database. Payment cards are handled by Creem; we do not store card numbers.
- Project data — research questions, uploaded PDFs, extracted text, evidence tables, outlines, drafts, and synthesis settings you create in the workspace.
- Usage data — trial/AI usage counters, cookies for guest trials and sessions, and standard server logs (IP, user agent, timestamps) on our host (Vercel).
3. How we use data
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Authenticate you and enforce plan limits
- Process AI synthesis on your uploaded corpus via our AI provider (MiniMax)
- Respond to support requests within 3 business days
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your research content or personal data.
4. AI processing
When you run synthesis, excerpts from your uploaded PDFs are sent to MiniMax's API to generate evidence, outlines, and drafts. Do not upload confidential or personal data you are not authorized to process. You control what files you upload.
5. Storage and retention
- Profiles & billing — stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) while your account exists.
- Projects & PDFs — stored on our application server filesystem (including ephemeral storage on serverless hosts). Projects may be lost if not exported; we recommend downloading your work.
- Deletion — email support@literaturereview.ai to request account deletion. We will delete or anonymize profile data within 30 days where feasible.
6. Third-party services
- Supabase — authentication and profile database
- Creem — payments, tax, and Merchant of Record
- MiniMax — AI inference
- Vercel — hosting
- Google — OAuth sign-in (if you choose it)
Each provider has its own privacy terms governing their processing.
7. Cookies
We use essential cookies for login sessions and guest trial state. We do not use third-party advertising cookies on the Service.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data. Contact support@literaturereview.ai. EU/UK users may lodge complaints with their local supervisory authority.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date will change when we do.
